Paul Walker, dessen tragischer Tod bei einem Autounfall sich im November 2023 zum zehnten Mal jährte, bleibt schließlich in den Herzen vieler Fans lebendig. Innerhalb der Filmreihe lebt seine Figur, Brian O’Connor, fort. In „Fast & Furious 9“ erschien Brian beispielsweise zum Ende des Films, als er mit seinem Auto zum Haus von Dominic „Dom“ Toretto (Vin Diesel) fuhr, obwohl er selbst nicht sichtbar war.

Vin Diesel, der neben Walker eine der Hauptrollen im Franchise stellt, trägt weiterhin dazu bei, die Erinnerung an seinen Freund zu ehren. So soll es dann auch in „Fast And Furious 11“ sein, wo es eine Rückkehr von Brians bekanntem orangefarbenen Toyota Supra geben soll. Dieses Auto, das Brian in „The Fast And The Furious“ aus dem Jahr 2001 fuhr, verbindet man schließlich stark mit seinem Charakter. Es wurde auf einem Schrottplatz gefunden und mit der Hilfe von Doms Crew repariert und aufgemotzt.

Über seinen Instagram-Account verriet Vin Diesel, dass dieses spezielle Fahrzeug erneut in der Filmreihe zu sehen sein wird. Er äußerte sich mit emotionalen Worten zu der Bedeutung des Autos: „Alle unter euch, die das ‚Fast & Furious‘-Franchise wirklich, wirklich kennen, wissen, was dieses Auto hervorgerufen hat … Das war das erste Auto, das mir in diesem Franchise begegnet ist, und natürlich hat es einen besonderen Platz in meinem Herzen.“

In einer rührenden Szene des ersten Films überließ Brian das Auto Dom, damit dieser vor den Behörden fliehen konnte. Nachdem der Toyota Supra seitdem nicht mehr zu sehen war, hätte man vermuten können, dass Dom sich von dem Auto getrennt hat. Doch wie sich herausstellt, hat er das Fahrzeug eingelagert und plant nun, es in „Fast And Furious 11“ wieder auf die Straße zu bringen.

Wie genau der Toyota Supra in der Fortsetzung integriert wird – ob mit Dom am Steuer oder einer anderen Figur – bleibt abzuwarten. Bis zur Veröffentlichung von „Fast & Furious 11“ im Jahr 2026 bleibt den Fans noch genügend Zeit, die vorherigen Filme der Kult-Reihe zu schauen. Für diejenigen, die das Franchise erneut erleben möchten, sind aktuell die Teile 1 bis 8 beim Streaming-Dienst Netflix verfügbar.
