Julian, welche ist deine Lieblingsfunktionen bei der Bildbearbeitung mit der AI von Samsung Galaxy?

Julian: Mein Favorit ist definitiv die generative Bildbearbeitung. Profis kennen die Funktion aus Tools wie Photoshop, aber als Bildbearbeitung für das Smartphone ist das neu und richtig praktisch. Nach einer Woche auf Reisen wollte ich nicht mehr darauf verzichten. Ein störendes Detail ist damit ganz einfach aus einem ansonsten richtig guten Motiv entfernt oder das Motiv perfekt im Bild positioniert. Ansonsten finde ich die Slow-mo-Funktion für Videos großartig. Manchmal verpasst man die richtige Situation für die Aufnahme. Das ist jetzt nicht mehr schlimm.

Wie funktioniert das genau? Und was hat das mit künstlicher Intelligenz zu tun?

Laura: Ein normales Smartphone-Video besteht aus 25 Einzelbildern pro Sekunde. Das sind aber zu wenige für Slow Motion. Dafür sind mindestens 60 oder mehr Bilder pro Sekunde notwendig. Ein Video mit 25 Bildern pro Sekunde lässt sich zwar nachträglich „dehnen“, also länger und damit langsamer machen, aber die Qualität leidet dann sehr, weil nicht genug Bildinformationen vorliegen, damit das ruckelfrei klappt. Machine-Learning-Modelle berechnen die fehlenden Zwischenbilder, sodass der Smartphone-Film wie eine butterweiche Slow-motion-Aufnahme aussieht.

Wie starte ich am besten mit den Galaxy AI-Funktionen?

Laura: Die Galaxy AI-Funktionen zu nutzen, ist kein Hexenwerk und man braucht keine Vorkenntnisse. Eine Umfrage in der Samsung Community hat ergeben, dass die Fotobearbeitung das Go-To Feature ist, 41 Prozent der Teilnehmenden nutzen sie bereits. Neben Circle to Search mit Google ist sie die meistgenutzte AI-Funktion auf den Galaxy Smartphones.

Und wie funktioniert das ganz konkret?

Julian: Um beispielsweise ein Detail im Bild zu entfernen, wählt man das Motiv in der Foto-Galerie aus und drückt auf den blauen Button für „generative Bearbeitung“. Dann das Detail oder den Gegenstand markieren, den man entfernen möchte, und auf „Entfernen“ tippen. Den Rest macht die AI. Sie lässt das Objekt verschwinden und rechnet neue Details hinzu, füllt also beispielsweise den Hintergrund auf.

Julian: Für einen gelernten Fotografen kommen gute Bilder oder Videos natürlich nicht nur durch Hardware zustande. Die Funktionen von Galaxy AI bringen Standards aus professionellen Bearbeitungstools direkt auf das Smartphone. So lassen sich Fotos und Videos unterwegs bearbeiten. Sie sind schnell und einfach zu nutzen und man braucht keine zusätzlichen Apps und technisches Knowhow. Kurz gesagt: sehr praktisch und kreativ.
