Als Auftakt für sein Mediencomeback nach gut zehn Jahren hinter der Kamera tritt Raab erneut gegen seine „Erzfeindin“ Regina Halmich in den Ring. Der Kampf gegen die ehemalige Box-Weltmeisterin trägt aufgrund des Werbedeals mit einem digitalen Versicherungsmanager inzwischen den Titel „Der Clark Final Fight“ und wird am 14. September in Düsseldorf stattfinden.

Nachdem hinsichtlich des Übertragungsortes spekuliert wurde, ob das Event womöglich auf einem von Raab angeblich geplanten neuen Streaming-Portal zu sehen sein wird, bestätigte nun überraschend der Privatsender RTL die Ausstrahlung im Free-TV. Der Chef von Raabs ehemaligen Heimatsender ProSiebenSat.1, Bert Habets, hatte eine Übertragung im Rahmen der digitalen Hauptversammlung durch seinen Sender zuvor bereits ausgeschlossen.

Inga Leschek, die Programmgeschäftsführerin von RTL und RTL+, äußerte sich auf einem Panel der OMR in Hamburg begeistert über das bevorstehende Ereignis: „Stefan Raab tritt wieder ins Rampenlicht und wir werden ihm die perfekte Bühne bereiten. Boxen auf RTL passt wie Reginas Faust auf Stefans Auge. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass RTL die Nacht der Nächte live begleitet – und auf einen spektakulären Moment der Fernsehgeschichte.“

Regina Halmich hatte auf Instagram als Reaktion auf Raabs ursprüngliche Ankündigung bereits am 2. April geschrieben: „Zuerst die schlechte Nachricht: Stefan kommt nur zurück, wenn ich gegen ihn kämpfe. Und jetzt kommt die gute Nachricht: Ich habe am 14.9. noch nichts besseres [sic] vor.“

Nun äußerte sich die 47-Jährige erneut öffentlich und erklärte dabei: „Wenn Stefan eine Idee hat, dann brennt er dafür. Dann ist er beharrlich. Wenn er etwas anpackt, dann wird’s auch zum Kracher. Er weiß, wie gute Unterhaltung funktioniert. Und dass RTL das ‚Ereignis des Jahrzehnts‘ zeigen wird, ist fantastisch. Ich werde zeigen, dass ich es immer noch schaffe, ihm ordentlich eine zu verpassen. Und es wird wieder weh tun. Versprochen! Wer mich unterschätzt, hat schon verloren. Raab wird nach allen Regeln der Kunst eine Mega-Show liefern. Und ich werde ihm mächtig einheizen.“

Für Stefan Raab ist es der dritte Kampf gegen Regina Halmich. Im ersten Kampf im Jahr 2001 brach ihm Halmich die Nase, und die Revanche 2007 endete mit einem knappen Sieg für die damalige Box-Weltmeisterin. Nun, im Alter von 57 Jahren, will Raab es noch einmal wissen. Auf den Ausgang des Kampfes würden wir persönlich nicht wetten wollen.

Der Vorverkauf für die Tickets des „Clark Final Fight“ hat am 2. April 2024 bei „Eventim“ begonnen, das Kontingent war rasch ausverkauft. Interessierte haben jedoch die Möglichkeit, sich auf eine Warteliste einzutragen, um bei Verfügbarkeit neuer Tickets benachrichtigt zu werden.
