Nachdem es zwei Jahre lang still um ihn geworden war, arbeitet sich der Entertainer und Comedian Luke Mockridge allmählich wieder auf die Medienbühne zurück. Dieser hatte sich zuvor aufgrund öffentlich gegen ihn erhobenen Anschuldigungen aus dem Rampenlicht zurückgezogen, letztlich konnte jedoch kein begründeter Tatverdacht festgestellt werden.

Von daher ist der Weg nun wieder frei für eine neue Show mit dem 35-Jährigen, für die er nun zu seinem einstigen Arbeitgeber Sat.1 zurückkehrt. Dort hatte er vor seinem Karriereknick fast schon als Gesicht des Senders fungiert und eine ganze Reihe erfolgreicher Formate präsentiert, wie etwa „Luke! Die Woche und ich“, „Luke! Die Schule und ich“ oder „Catch“ und die „Greatnightshow“, eine Late-Night-Show zur Primetime.

Ursprünglich war er auch als Moderator der Musikshow „All Together Now“ angedacht, nicht zuletzt wohl auch wegen seines eigenen musikalischen Hintergrundes, dieser Plan ging dann aber wohl im großen Shitstorm unter, der im Zuge der Vorwürfe über Mockridge hereinbrach.

Der Weg zurück

Mit zaghaften Schritten kehrt Luke nun aber wieder ins Fernsehen zurück und war inzwischen in einer bereits vorab produzierten Folge des Traumschiffs zu sehen und feierte auch ein Comeback als Komiker im Rahmen der Show „Die besten Comedians Deutschlands“.

Mit einer neuen eigenen Show wird der Neuanfang nun aber perfekt. Diese trägt den Titel „Was ist in der Box?“ und ist allem Anschein nach für das Spätprogramm vorgesehen. Inhaltlich ähnelt die Sendung ein wenig dem von Hugo Egon Balder moderierten „Genial daneben“, muss doch auch in „Was ist in der Box?“ eine prominent besetzte Runde Rätsel lösen, welche im Vorfeld vom Sat.1-Publikum eingesendet wurden.

Der verantwortliche Sender beschreibt es folgendermaßen: „Mit wilden Theorien, ausufernden Spekulationen und skurrilen Lösungsansätzen versucht das Panel die Rätsel zu lösen und so den Gegenstand in der Box zu erraten.“

Sollte es den Promis nicht gelingen, die Frage der Show zu lösen, erhält der Absender des Rätsels 500 Euro. Wer also eine knifflige Frage auf Lager hat, kann diese ab sofort über die Sat.1-Homepage einreichen. Wann die neue Show mit Luke Mockridge auf Sendung gehen wird ist allerdings noch nicht bekannt.
