Eine News, die ohne Frage hohen Erwartungen weckt. Schließlich ist Raab kein Unbekannter im Eurovision-Kosmos. So trug der Entertainer in der Vergangenheit maßgeblich zum Erfolg Deutschlands beim Eurovision Song Contest bei. Im Jahr 2010 führte er Lena Meyer-Landrut zum Sieg, was Deutschland beim ESC nach langer Zeit wieder auf die Siegerstraße brachte.

Nach einer langen Pause entschied sich Raab nun auch beim ESC sein Comeback zu geben. Eine offizielle Pressekonferenz, an der Raab zusammen mit hochrangigen Vertretern von ARD und RTL teilnehmen wird, soll weitere Details zum ESC-Vorentscheid für 2025 preisgeben. Unter den Anwesenden werden ARD-Programmdirektorin Christine Strobl, RTL-Programmgeschäftsführerin Inga Leschek und NDR-Programmdirektor Frank Beckmann sein.

Dies wurde jetzt auch von RTL auf Instagram geteilt und sorgte sofort für reichlich Begeisterung unter den Usern. Diese Zusammenarbeit zwischen Raab, der ARD und RTL könnte also den lang ersehnten frischen Wind in die deutschen Eurovision-Bemühungen bringen, vor allem nach den enttäuschenden Ergebnissen der letzten Jahre.

Raab, der bereits zwischen 1998 und 2012 aktiver Teilnehmer und Produzent deutscher ESC-Beiträge war, bringt jedenfalls eine Fülle von Erfahrungen und Erfolgen mit sich. Er stand 2000 selbst auf der ESC-Bühne und erreichte mit dem kultigen Song „Wadde hadde dudde da?“ einen starken fünften Platz.

Weitere Erfolge erzielte Raab 2004 mit Max Mutzke, der durch Raabs Castingshow „Stefan sucht den Super-Grand-Prix-Star“ bekannt wurde und mit „Can't wait until Tonight“ den achten Platz beim ESC erreichte. Und so ist die Rückkehr Stefan Raabs zum ESC ein klares Zeichen, Deutschland beim ESC wieder auf die Erfolgsspur zu bringen. Die Hoffnung wächst demnach, dass der ESC-Vorentscheid 2025 endlich wieder ein erfolgreiches Kapitel für Deutschland öffnet.
